PM Kisan 24th Instalment: ₹2,000 Payment Expected in October 2026, Date Yet to Be Announced

The Centre has not announced the date for the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), as per news reports. Farmers covered under the scheme are due to receive ₹2,000 in the next payment. 

The last instalment was released on June 20, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 23rd instalment from Tarakeswar in West Bengal. More than ₹18,880 crore was transferred to over 9.44 crore farmers. 

Payment Expected in October 

PM-KISAN provides ₹6,000 a year to eligible landholding farmer families. The amount is paid in three instalments of ₹2,000 each through direct benefit transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. 

The scheme's instalments are released every four months. The June payment therefore puts the next instalment in October 2026. This is based on the existing payment cycle; an exact date has not been announced by the government. 

Total PM-KISAN Disbursement 

The 24th instalment will be ₹2,000 for eligible beneficiaries. Total payments made under PM-KISAN since its launch in 2019 have crossed ₹4.46 lakh crore. 

The Union Budget for 2026-27 has provided ₹60,000 crore for the scheme. The allocation covers PM-KISAN expenditure for the financial year and does not specify when the next instalment will be released. 

E-KYC Requirement 

PM-KISAN applies to eligible landholding farmer families with cultivable land, subject to the scheme's eligibility and exclusion criteria. E-KYC is mandatory for registered beneficiaries. 

Farmers also need to have their land records seeded on the PM-KISAN portal. The bank account used for receiving the payment must be linked with Aadhaar. 

The portal has flagged cases where payments can be withheld pending verification. These include certain cases involving land acquired after February 1, 2019, and cases where more than one member of a family is receiving the benefit. 

Check Payment Details 

Farmers can check their beneficiary and payment details through the ‘Know Your Status’ facility on the PM-KISAN portal. The facility provides details related to payment and beneficiary status.

Conclusion 

The 24th instalment date remains unconfirmed. Farmers can check their e-KYC, Aadhaar linkage, and land records while waiting for the government to announce the payment date.
